Lotus Debuts at Pebble Beach

by Brad Leach - 18/08/11

A sad day today for Lotus Exige fans as the annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California sees the unveiling of the Exige Matt Black Final Edition.

Just 25 of the limited edition Exige will be made to signify the end of production. They score extra under-bonnet urge (193kW), black Alcantara sports seats and Matt Black paint.

They’re also exclusive to the North American market.

On a more uplifting note, Lotus is also using Pebble Beach to reveal its new Evora GTE Road Car Concept. With 325kW driving through a sequential AMT racing transmission and sitting on alloy race wheels with centre-lock hubs and shod with Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres, the Evora GTE concept is a legitimate road car.

Lotus created the Evora GTE racing version to tackle the world’s ultimate sports ar race – the Le Mans 24-Hour.
