Record Australian Sales For Nissan And Renault

Ahead of tomorrow’s release of official 2012 sales data, out Dandenong, Victoria way there’ve been having a celebratory sip with both Nissan and Renault chalking-up slaes rercords.

Nissan delivered 7,329 vehicles in December, lifting its 2012 total to 79,787 vehicles – the company’s best result as a full-line importer. Underlining the importance of compact SUVs, both Nissan X-TRAIL and Dualis achieved their best-ever sales in 2012.
“Nissan is earning its ‘unfair share’ of the Australian new car market by delivering what Australian new-car buyers expect and we’re going to intensify this when we commence our biggest-ever new model roll-out later this month, starting with the all-new Nissan Pulsar sedan,” revealed Nissan Australia chief Bill Peffer.

Renault Australia sales were up by 38 per-cent over 2011 with a record 5011 new vehicles delivered last year.
Like sister company Nissan, Renault is aiming for further growth this year thanks to significant new models including the all-new Clio IV light car and an expanded range of light commercial vehicles.
