Kia has announced the Geneva Motor Show unveiling of its Optima Hybrid sedan.
Said to be Europe’s first D-Segment (mid-size) petrol hybrid, the Kia Optima Hybrid employs a 2.0-litre petrol engine and 30kW electric motor.
Improved for 2013, Kia’s parallel hybrid system is now good for 140kW of power. For the Kia Optima Hybrid that translates into zero to 100km/h in 9.4-seconds and fuel consumption of 5.1l/100kms.
The Optima Hybrid joins the previously announced Pro-cee’d GT, Cee’d GT and a new urban concept car as Kia’s Geneva Motor Show debs.
Also expect a new Carens (Kia’s European people mover) in Geneva.
