2015 Honda HR-V On Sale From Feburary

Honda Australia has announced that the all-new Honda HR-V will go on sale from February 2015. The Jazz based compact SUV will be powered by Honda’s 1.8 litre i-VTEC engine, which produces 105 kW and 172 Nm of torque, fuel economy will under 7.0 litres per 100 kilometres.

“The all-new HR-V is a very important model,” said Honda Australia Director Stephen Collins. “The HR-V will be positioned below the CR-V and complement our SUV line-up by offering versatility and practicality along with new safety technology, loads of features and of course a sporty, dynamic drive. We know consumers want more choice and we will offer that choice in the all-new HR-V, right into one of Australia’s fastest growing segments.”

Just like the Jazz and the Civic the Honda HR-V will come with Magic Seats which can be configured 18 different combinations, allowing you to fold the second row seats completely flat for added cargo space, perfect for the weekend camping trip.

The Honda HR-V will also be the first in Honda’s line-up to receive City-Brake Active which can help avoid low speed crashes by sounding a warning and also being able to apply the brakes. The HR-V will also receive Honda’s latest touch screen Display Audio system which can also be found in the Odyssey, City and Jazz.

In some overseas markets the Honda HR-V is also know as the Honda Vezel ships with a hybrid power-plant that sips just 3.7 litres per 100 kilometres. There is no word yet if Australia will receive the hybrid powered compact HR-V.
