Honda ups the ante in the hatchback market with the launch next month of the all-new Civic priced from $22,650 – that’s over $7,000 less than the current model.
And to ensure the all-new model gets the best possible start, Honda is launching with the entry-level VTi-S model offered at ‘driveaway’ prices of $24,990 (manual) and $27,290 (automatic).
The all-new European Honda Civic Hatch gets a stylish new look inside and out and employs Honda’s 104kW/174Nm, 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine. Fuel consumption is as low as 6.1l/100kms (manual).
As usual with Honda, safety and high-class engineering exude in the all-new Civic which has scored the maximum five-star rating after ANCAP barrier testing. Included are six airbags (front, side and full-length side curtain) and Vehicle Stability Assist while range-topping Honda Civic VTi-L adds a reversing camera.
“The Honda Civic Hatch is one of the most stylish cars in its segment, with a sleek, sporty design and sophisticated touches like the rear brake-light cluster. It prioritizes safety and functionality with a five-star ANCAP safety rating and clever features including the unique to Honda, magic seat system,” explained Honda Australia chief Stephen Collins.
