This is the all-new Nissan Pulsar for Europe which has just been unveiled in Paris – but it’s not for Australia.
Nissan Australia says the current Pulsar sedan and hatchback will continue to be the company’s mainstays in this market.
The Pulsar – built at the Nissan plant in Barcelona, Spain - is a new addition to the Nissan lineup in Europe and it boasts some impressive technology including as standard Lane departure warning, Blind Spot Warning, Moving Object Detection and Forward Emergency Braking. An ‘Around View Monitor’ is also available.
Nissan says the Pulsar will be the first car in its market segment to deliver this lineup of driver aids as standard.
Nissan Europe is hoping the Pulsar can deliver much better traction in the giant European C-segment.
The European Nissan Pulsar is also equipped with LED headlights and the NissanConnect system with full smartphone integration, Google Send-to-Car access and available apps.
While the 140kW/240Nm turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine we know from the Aussie Pulsar SSS will join the European lineup early next year, Nissan has launched the European version with a choice of two diesels – an 85W 1.2-litre turbo-diesel or an 80kW/260Nm naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre.
The European Nissan Pulsar was designed in Europe and Nissan says its new C-segment car actually rivals bigger D-segment vehicles for interior space.
