Entry-level Volkswagen Touareg 150TDI gets more oomph thanks to an extra 50Nm boosting maximum torque to 450Nm.
The ‘Technology Package’ includes handy extras such as an exterior 360-degree camera system, 100-litre fuel tank and more while the ‘Drive Assistance Package’ delivers items like adaptive cruise control, emergency city brake and lane-keeping assist.
Headline act is still the sonorous 205kW V8 TDI R-Line – one of our all-time favourite SUVs. With impressively sporty R-Line additions to complement that V8 twin-turbo diesel, massive 21-inch alloy wheels and lots of luxo (including a 620W, 12-speaker audio system), the range-topping Volkswagen Touareg runs the ‘Technology Package’ and Driver Assistance Package (expect lane-keeping assist) as standard.
