A design revolution must be a deep fear at Subaru.
Subaru, the Japanese manufacturer that you either love or hate for always dancing to their own beat, will shortly be releasing an all-new Forester SUV, their mid-sized family wagon that competes against cars like the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Renault Koleos.
The company has confirmed that the car will be revealed on March 28th, with the New York International Auto Show expected to open its doors two days later. However, ahead of that, the 2019 Forester appears to have been outed in full, in what seems to us like a magazine or some sort of marketing material, undoubtedly printed ahead of the cars’ introduction very soon.
The new-generation Forester appears to lean somewhat on the Viziv Future Concept that we saw first some three years ago. In typical fashion, Subaru has watered down the concept cars’ daring look almost completely, but at least the design does at least fall in place with the rest of the Subaru lineup. Further, the new Forester is expected to gain a lot of the intelligent technology that comes bundled in Subarus’s vaunted ‘EyeSight’ advanced driver assistance systems.
When it arrives, the Subaru Forester will have to do battle with some rather newer competition like the Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson, and Kia Sportage. If it retains the same comfortable ride of the current model, and throws in some driving vigour to boot, the new Forester could be quite a proposition when it arrives before the end of the year.
