BMW has launched its latest 6 Series coupe range with extra power and technology for the beautifully-styled – and very fast – luxury two-doors.
The new lineup is the b8-powered 650i and six-cylinder 640i.
For the 650i, power has been boosted by 30kW to 300kw while the 640i gains 35kW to 235kW. Both have BMW EfficientDynamics with the 640i featuring Auto Start/Stop and ECO PRO.
Both drive the rear wheels via BMW’s sublime eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 6-Series chassis has been updated and now includes Electric Power Steering and Drive Dynamic Control as standard. Adaptive Drive, Dynamic damper Control and Integral Active Steering are on the options list.
Exterior styling changes have given the new BMW 6 Series Coupe a more purposeful appearance and the headlights and tail-lights are now LED (the headlights are adaptive for low and high beam and include a cornering function).
Inside is the usual BMW technology avalanche including BMW Night Vision, Parking Assistant, rear-view and Surround View camera systems, the latest generation head-up display and the new BMW iDrive system with a free-standing control display.
And of course, luxury is ramped-up even further with the list including ceramic-look trim, Nappa leather seats, sports seats, active seats, ventilated seats and a choice of Bang & Olufsen audio systems.
