British marque Caterham – the same company responsible for the F1 team – used last weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix to unveil its latest road car – the AeroSeven.

Technically a concept car, Caterham says a production version of the AeroSeven will be launched next year and its aerodynamic styling is a hint to an all-new sports car under development with Renault and scheduled to debut in 2016.
The car displayed in Singapore features a carbon-fibre body and uses an updated Cetrham Seven CSR platform but features some technology developed by the F1 team including traction control (a first for Caterham) and a Caterham Engine Management System which enables driver-controlled adjustment of the traction control and launch control.

Under the bonnet the naturally-aspirated 180kW engine developed by Caterham Technology & Innovation comes from the Seven 485 model and delivers zero to 100km/h in under 4.0-seconds.
