As tipped by www.carshowroom.com.au a few weeks back, Ferrari has wheeled-out a special model to celebrate 60 years of selling cars in North America.
A limited edition version of the convertible F12berlinetta, it’s called the F60 American and has a cool price tag of $US2.5-million.
Two racing seats featuring the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ reinforce the F60 speciality.
And thee blue/white colour scheme pays homage to the limited production 275 GTS4 NART Spider which sold in North America in 1967.
The Ferrari F60 America employs the same driveline as the regular F12berlinetta (545kW/690Nm 6.3-litre V12 driving through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic).
But on the outside the F60 America is substantially different featuring new front and rear-end treatments, new doors and of course that fabric roof which is manually removed to reveal two leather-trimmed carbon-fibre roll hoops.
