Called ‘Kia Connect’ the new program (which starts with new Kias sold from 1 August) also includes a free operational check after three months/3,000kms.

Kia operates on an annual service schedule (many other manufacturers are six months) and the price of the annual capped price service varies according to model – ranging from $239 for a 1.4-litre Rio to $349 for a Diesel Sportage (both year one). Prices then vary over the five year period – the maximum being $746 in year four for a Cerato.

Current Kia owners will also be included but details vary according to model so it’s best to check with your Kia dealer.

All-up Kia has delivered extraordinary value and peace-of-mind as Kia owners will know to the cent what their service costs will be – even up to five years from now.

“This is about building a lifetime relationship with our customers, anticipating and providing for their needs while supporting their decision to join the Kia family,” explained Kia Australia chief Tony Barlow. “We also wanted to show our customers who had recently purchased a current model Kia that they are part of the family and just as highly valued. To that end the Kia Connect program will apply to all Kia vehicles still under the original manufacturer warranty.”
