7:14.64 minutes – that’s the new Nurburgring production car lap record and it belongs to the Lexus LFA supercar.
The time was set by one of the 50 Nurburgring Package LFAs (out of the total production run of 500 vehicles).
Race driver and LFA tester Akira Iida set the new benchmark time on standard Bridgestone Potenza RE070 tyres (some rivals have claimed to use race tyres).
Lexus says the 50 Nurburgring Package LFAs score extra power (419kW), a carbon fibre rear wing and front spoiler, special wheels and tuned suspension.
