Lexus fans and sports car enthusiasts should make plans to attend next months Australian International Motor Show in Sydney to catch the first Australian appearance of the Lexus LFA sports car.

Only eight of the technically superb supercars are heading to Australian customers. The front-mid engined sports car has received rapturous reviews in Europe despite its price tag eclipsing most Ferrari and Lamborghini models.

A highlight is the LFA’s howling V10 engine which rekindles the previous era of V10-powered Formula One cars. The LFA delivers 412kW of power at a screaming 8,700 rpm and peak torque of 480Nm at 6,800 rpm.

For the record, zero to 100km/h takes just 3.6 seconds and the LFA is electronically limited to a top speed of 325 km/h.

Lexus Australia is currently working with each of the eight local customers to individually tailor their cars.
