Following in the tyre tracks of the updated E63 AMG revealed by Mercedes-Benz at the Detroit Auto Show were similar updates for the CLS and Shooting Brake versions.
The AMG versions of both score the more powerful (410kW/720Nm) twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 (430kW/800Nm for ‘S-model’ (previously ‘Performance Package’) plus similar exterior and interior enhancements.
And – again like the E63 sedan and wagon – the CLS version with 4Matic AWD unveiled in Detroit will only be produced for left-hand-drive markets.
Expect the updated CLS 63 AMG coupe and Shooting Brake in Australia later this year.
