It’s big (more than four metres long), has four doors and available all-wheel-drive, but the Countryman is still a MINI.

Debuting at the Geneva Motor Show, the fourth model in the MINI lineup is scheduled for Australian sales from the first quarter of next year.

With four doors, available all-wheel-drive, a raised ride height and SUV driving position, the Countryman marks a significant departure from the DNA of all MINIs before it. However the styling and proportions are cleverly crafted so MINI’s innovative crossover still retains that classic MINI look (just on a much bigger scale).

From launch in Europe, the Countryman will be available with a choice of three petrol and two diesel engines – highlighted by the 135kW MINI Cooper S Countryman.

Inside, the Countryman is unique with its Center Rail storage and fastening system.
