BMW has rolled-out some new option packs for the 5 Series sedan, Touring (wagon) and Gran Turismo models.
The ‘Professional Package’ ( 520i sedan, 520d sedan, Gran Turismo and Touring and 528i sedan) is about safety and connected mobility.
Prices for the ‘Professional Package’ range from $900 to $3,400 and, depending on the model, it delivers extras such as Head-Up Display, Lane Change Warning System, Surround View and digital audio (to name just a few).
And the ‘Exclusive Package’ (535i sedan, Gran Turismo and Touring, 535d sedan and 530d Gran Turismo and ActiveHybrid 5) brings further refinement and sophisticated hardware.
BMW says the ‘Exclusive Package’ represents extra value up to $16,300 compared to ordering its inclusions separately. Depending on the model these include items line Nappa leather seats, rear seat sunblinds, Lane Chang warning System, BMW Individual instrument panel in leather and soft-closing doors (again to name just a few).
But don’t look for this, or any other packages on the 550i – it’s a ‘goner’, eased-out of the local lineup.
