Mitsubishi’s competent ASX compact SUV has received 2012 model year running changes.
A highlight is the availability of a reversing camera for all models – a proven safety feature.
Inside, the 2012 Mitsubishi ASX gains new interior finishes, new seat trims and a new rear seat centre arm rest with cupholders – a feature popular with family buyers.
And with the two-wheel-drive (2WD) ASX variant proving to be the most popular, Mitsubishi has simplified the specification process for its customers by introducing two option packs.
The ‘Convenience Pack’ ($500) adds hands-free Bluetooth and steering wheel-mounted remote audio controls.
With the ‘Luxury Pack’ Mitsubishi ASX buyers get the Convenience Pack extras plus an electro-chromatic rear view mirror with the rear view monitor, heated leather seats (electronic adjustment for the driver), fog lights, 17-inch alloy wheels and some extra chrome.
Mitsubishi ASX 4WD models get the electro-chromatic mirror and rear view monitor and range-topping Aspire models ramp-up the luxury with some extra chrome inside.
No changes under the bonnet – the Mitsubishi ASX is powered by a choice of 110kW/197Nm, 2.0-litre petro, or a 110kW/300Nm 1.8-litre turbo-diesel.
