Kiwi Steve Millen – a good mate of CarShowroom.com.au – is wheeling-out his No. 75 Nissan 300ZX IMSA GTX Championship car next month as, 20 years on Nissan celebrates its class win at the Le Mans 24-hour race.

Millen will drive the +600kW twin-turbo V6 racer – which finished fifth outright at Le Mans - at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion in California 14-17 August.

Millen and the No. 75 ‘Z’ were so dominant in North America in 1994 that IMSA racing officials banned the twin-turbo V6 and the hallowed racer now resides in the Costa Mesa, California head office of STILLEN – his aftermarket performance parts company (your Car Showroom correspondent was there just a few months back).

Millen has the most victories in IMSA GTS history with 20, along with a series record of 23 pole positions. He retired from competition in 1996 following a 1995 crash at Road Atlanta and now divides his time between running STILLEN and a holiday house north of Auckland, New Zealand.

“From the original 1994 Le Mans inspection sticker to the twin-turbo V6 and Nissan five-speed Hewland crashbox, the No. 75 is the rear deal and we can’t wait to see it back on the track at speed with Steve Millen at the controls,” revealed Nissan North America’s Pierre Loing.
