Stuff of dreams. Stuttgart’s dreams.
Mercedes-Benz will not be coming quietly to this years’ Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Last year, it wowed guests with the stunning Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Coupé (pictured here). And this year, they’ve taken its top off.
The luxury carmaker has released a teaser video to help build the hype around the car (as it it needs it), without providing any technical specifics for the car. Assuming that it is just a topless version of last years’ concept coupe, the Vision 6 convertible should feature four electric motors (one in each corner), culminating in a staggering 550kW of power. That should rocket the car from rest to 100km/h in less than 4-seconds, and keep it shooting silently all the way up to its 250km/h top speed.
The cabin is best described as a progressive take on what we saw last year, and is expected to feature few differences between what we saw last year. The cabin will be an exercise in borderline-excessive use of leather, wood and metals, with great influence from large, majestic watercraft (read: yachts).
We’ll bring you more details on the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Convertible as the Pebble Beach Concours gets underway come August 20th.
