Chrysler has answered the call of high-performance fans with the addition of a ‘Core’ SRT8 version of the 300 sedan.
Priced from $56,000 (below the Luxury Car Tax threshold) and developed exclusively for the Australian market, the Chrysler 300 SRT8 Core brings an edgy addition to the range below the $66,000 SRT8
Power comes from Chrysler’s 347kW/631Nm 6.4-litre Hemi V8 (with cylinder deactivation to cut fuel consumption between 5-20 per-cent).
On the outside, the Chrysler 300 SRT8 Core runs aggressive 20-inch alloy wheels with black-out treatment for the five spokes, and red ‘HEMI 6.4L’ badges on the front guards.
Inside the ‘Core’ fits black cloth seats with contrasting white stitching and SRT logos with piano black trim highlights and matt carbon accents.
Suspension gets the full SRT performance specifications and the driveline incorporates launch control.
